Our Terms

At Chairman of the Breadboard we pride ourselves on being as flexible as we need to be in order to create a successful and memorable event for you. And our best recipe for fantastic food and great events starts with a few good housekeeping rules, set out in our terms below:

Deposit – 40 percent of the total cost of catering your event, including wait and bar staff, is required as a deposit as soon as you accept the Chairman of the Breadboard’s quote.

Progress payment – A progress payment of 30% of the quoted cost is due seven (7) days prior to your event. If the style of the function or guest numbers have changed since the deposit was made, this can be taken into account and the progress payment renegotiated if necessary.

Balance of the cost – The balance of the event cost (30% of the agreed total) falls due on the day your event takes place.

Confirmation of guest numbers – So that Chairman of the Breadboard can provide the best service for your event, we require confirmation of the number of people attending seven (7) days prior.

Three (3) days prior to the event we can only accept up to a 10% increase in numbers.

Unfortunately, within three (3) days prior to the event we are unable to accept any decrease in guest numbers.

Cancellations – If you need to cancel your event and you do so seven (7) days or more prior to the scheduled date, your 40% deposit will be returned to you in full.

If you cancel less than a week prior to the event, you will forfeit your deposit.

Guidelines on additional costs:

Wait and Bar staff – $30 per hour

Kitchen staff – $48 per hour

25-50 guests requires 1-2 wait staff + 1 kitchen staff

50-80 guests requires 3 wait staff + 1-2 kitchen staff

80-120 guests requires 4 wait staff + 3 kitchen staff

Equipment that needs to be brought in for the event ranges from party hire to extra cooking gear or refrigeration.  Once the specifications of the event are known, costs can be provided at time of quoting.
